Green Corps volunteers will use a bobcat to clean household rubbish that has been illegally dumped in scrub beside the Hervey Bay Airport.

It is expected that at least six truck loads of rubbish will be picked up by the 10 volunteers in the two-day clean up operation.

A bus will be an unusual addition to the tarmac at the Hervey Bay airport on Wednesday, October 28.

It will double as an aeroplane as part of an exercise to test the airport's emergency plan.
